was born in Anhui, China in 1989 and she has received her MFA degree at California College of the Arts in 2013. She currently lives and works in Hangzhou and other places. Zhang had solo exhibitions at Guangdong Museum of Art, Surplus Splace in Wuhan and ATA Gallery in San Francisco. As an artist duo with YU Jing, she had a solo exhibition at Taikang Space Terrace Project in Beijing. Zhang has participated in numerous group exhibitions as well as artist residencys, including “Datentraume” at Goethe Institut Beijing, “The Ecstacy of Time” at He Xiangning Art Museum in Shenzhen, Residency at Muffatwerk (Munich, Germany) and Residency at CPW (New York State, US).
Zhang utilizes video, CG, photography and installation, as well as combines writing and music to create process-oriented perceptual experience that usually starts from everyday experience and then grows into the continuous reflections on the notion of the real, the illusive and the transcendent.
